Main Characters Description

• Lucy Pevensie is the youngest of the four Pevensie children, and the first to find the Wardrobe entrance to Narnia in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.


• Edmund Pevensie, also known as "Ed", was the third of the Pevensie children, and the second one to enter the magical world of Narnia.


• Susan Pevensie was the second-born of the Pevensie children (after Peter), and was the eldest sister.


• Peter Pevensie is the oldes brother, he is portraid as a warrior-king who seeks to do the right thing at all times. He has an undying love for Aslan and recognizes him as his leader and friend.


• Aslan, also known as The Great Lion, is the creator and one true king of the world of Narnia, and generally a representation of all that is good.


• Jadis is the main antagonist of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, she is commonly referred to as the White Witch in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

Book of Reference: The Chronicles of Narnia: the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is a fantasy novel for children by C. S. Lewis, published by Geoffrey Bles in 1950. It is the first published and best known of seven novels in The Chronicles of Narnia (1950–1956). Among all the author's books, it is also the most widely held in libraries.

Although it was originally the first of The Chronicles of Narnia, it is volume two in recent editions that are sequenced by the stories' chronology. Like the other Chronicles, it was illustrated by Pauline Baynes, and her work has been retained in many later editions.

Most of the novel is set in Narnia, a land of talking animals and mythical creatures that is ruled by the evil White Witch. In the frame story, four English children are relocated to a large, old country house following a wartime evacuation. Lewis wrote the book for (and dedicated it to) his goddaughter, Lucy Barfield. She was the daughter of Owen Barfield, Lewis's friend, teacher, adviser and trustee.
